SkinDetector focused on a smart diagnostic method and portable equipment system devised for more precise early-stage detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of diabetes mellitus.


The SkinDetector system targeted the human foot area, aiming to identify features and parameters tied to the extent of tissue damage triggered by the microvascular and macrovascular complications of diabetes mellitus.


The data was collected from three distinct sensors: a thermographic camera, a digital dermatoscope, and a phased array ultrasonic imaging device, establishing a multi-pronged approach for early detection.
